Ethanol and Biofuels
Van Ert Electric is proud to be on the ground floor of the ethanol business. Our Design/Build capabilities have been a tremendous asset in this industry. For our efforts on a 50 mg plant, we were awarded the prestigious Build Wisconsin Award for Electrical Design and Installation. As with most plants, we were contracted to engineer, procure and construct (EPC) the entire facility electrically. Typically, Biofuel plants are located in rural settings and it’s not uncommon for a small local utility to struggle with the power these plants consume. We work directly with the owner and the utility to ensure a power grid that is cost effective yet robust enough to handle the demands of the plant. The utility is assured that the system we install will not harm their system when large single loads are applied. We have a dedicated team ready to help you from conception to completion for all your electrical needs.
